MEET THE FOUNDER
From an early age, I understood that the journey of life is anything but a straight road. Embracing the unpredictability, I have cultivated resilience, adaptability, and a curiosity to explore factors that contribute to our individual and collective experiences. This perspective has been instrumental in shaping my outlook and approach as a founder, fostering an appreciation for the dynamic and evolving nature of both personal and professional endeavours.
My interest in business was sparked after electing to study business modules during my final year as a Law student at the University of Warwick. This stark departure from the structured world of Law to the innovative and creative landscape of business was not just a change in subject matter but a transformation in mindset. It nurtured my already strong affinity with divergent thinking and my dynamic approach to problem-solving. It connected me to my passion of strategic planning, and the realisation that success in business often involves embracing ambiguity and using creativity to find innovative solutions.
Whilst training as a Chartered Accountant, I took great interest in financial planning and analysis which served as escapism from the traditional retrospective compliance work often associated with the accountancy profession. I took on a range of responsibilities that allowed me to exercise full commercial control over the finance functions of small and medium-sized businesses. This ignited a fascination for crafting a variety of bespoke financial models, enabling me to work closely with the owners to make informed strategic decisions using the key financial and operational drivers I had identified.
My professional journey has been enriched by a wealth of experience in outsourced and interim finance positions across a range of industries and sectors. I've had the privilege of building finance functions from the ground up and seamlessly integrating into established ones. Working closely with business owners and their teams brings me immense pride. I love connecting with owners, immersing myself in their businesses as if my own, offering a tailored service to ensure their focus remains on executing their vision and leading with purpose.
In essence, my journey has been a dynamic exploration, marked by a commitment to continuous learning, entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for providing financial and strategic insight to owners to ensure their businesses unlock their true potential.
